Anti-paddles, as the name suggests, give the opposite function of hand paddles. If you’re familiar with the closed-fist drill, they serve a similar function, without teaching bad form and habits. They will cause your hand to slip through the water, encouraging swimmers to focus on a full-arm catch and better leverage their body position. Upon taking the paddles off, swimmers will have a better feel for the water, similar to the feeling of wearing normal hand paddles.
